You can combine multiple spells into the one spell.
Prerequisite: None.
Benefit: You can meld together two or more spells. Both spells
must have the same casting time and target. You must expend Power points equal
to the minimum effect of all spells being melded, less 1 Power point for each
spell melded after the first. The effects of each spell in the meld are calculated
using the Power points expended casting the spell. The school, subschool, and
descriptor of the spell usually change to match those of the first spell in
the meld.
Power Cost: A melded spell uses up 2 additional Power points, and the caster must expend sufficient Power points to cast both.
Sample Enhanced Spell: Sunbeam. The melded spells are sear (minimum 5 points) and blind or deafen (minimum 7 points, range changed from touch to medium), for a base Power Point cost of 11 (that is, 5 + 7 - 1). The spell has also been enhanced with the Area Spell (line) and Split Spell feats, for an additional cost of 4 Power points, making the total cost 15 Power points. The spell has been split into three 5 Power point spells, which sets the damage for each beam at 8 points but has no effect on the blindness effect (which is not based on Power points expended).
