Abjuration [Element or Energy]
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Medium
Area: One 5-ft cube/Power point or one object
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: None or Will negates (object)
Spell Resistance: No or Yes (object)
Minimum Power Points: 1
This spell immediately negates any non-magical effect of the same type of element
or energy in the area of effect. Alternatively, the spell dispels any element
or energy spell of the same type in the area of effect, though you must succeed
on a dispel check, as for remove magic,
against each spell to dispel it. The DC to dispel such spells is 11 + the Power
points of the target spell.
Each elemental creature and object composed of the element within the area of
the spell takes 1 hit of damage per Power point (no save allowed).
This spell can instead counter and dispel an object's power to create or control
that element or energy descriptor. The item loses all its magical abilities
based on that element or energy for 1d4 hours unless it succeeds on a Will save.
Restriction: Choose one type of element (air, earth, fire,
plant, water) or energy (acid, cold, electricity, fire, force, sonic). This
spell can only counter and negate that type of element or energy. Only a divine
spellcaster can counter and negate a divine spell or spell-like ability.
Heightened: Each additional Power point increases the area
affected and makes it more likely that the spell will overcome another magic
spell.
