Enchantment (Compulsion) [Mind-Affecting]
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Medium
Target: One willing living creature
Duration: see text (D)
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: Yes
Minimum Power Points: 1
The subject enters a battle fury, and temporarily gains a +2 bonus to Strength,
a +2 bonus to Constitution, and a +1 bonus on Will saves, but takes a -2 penalty
to defence.
While in a rage, the subject cannot use any Charisma-, Dexterity-,
or Intelligence-based skills (except for Acrobatics, Escape Artist, Intimidate,
and Ride), the Concentration skill, or any abilities that require patience or
concentration. In addition, the subject cannot cast spells or activate magic
items that require a command word, a spell trigger (such as a wand), or spell
completion (such as a scroll) to function. The subject can use any feats except
Combat Expertise, item creation feats, and metamagic feats.
A fit of rage lasts for a number of rounds equal to 3 + the subject's
(newly improved) Constitution modifier. The subject may not prematurely end
the rage, but it can be dismissed by the caster. At the end of the
rage, the subject loses the rage modifiers and restrictions and becomes fatigued
(-2 penalty to Strength, -2 penalty to Dexterity, can't charge or run) for the
duration of the current encounter or scene.
Heightened: Each additional 4 Power points increases the morale bonus
to Strength and Constitution by +2 and the bonus on Will saves by +1. The -2
penalty to defence does not increase.
