The Seven Eternal Sorcerers

It is widely believed that there are Seven Eternal Sorcerers, magically powerful Pagans who strode Selentia like titans before the rise of the True Faith. Nobody agrees on the identities of all seven, but there is general agreement that the Seven Eternal Sorcerers include Angmar the Witch-King, Cathedron the Unbidden, Chang the Stormrider and Saaknathur, and a majority would add Gulanoras of Tiryns to the list. All agree that the spirits of the Eternal Sorcerers are undying, though what has happened to the spirit of the very dead Saaknathur is not certain.

Angmar the Witch-King rules the Empire of Wyrd, much reduced in power following his defeat and death at the hands of the Selentine Empire five hundred years ago.

Cathedron the Unbidden, whose spirit has outlived his body due to the power of the Ebon Staff that he took from a demon-god in the sixth century AUC, now dwells at Skulldance Castle somewhere in the Sleetmarsh.

Chang the Stormrider is from the distant Mountains Under Heaven, and presumably returned there many centuries ago to live with his kinsfolk, the Giants.

Gulanoras of Tiryns travelled east across the Jeryl Sea around the time of the founding of Selentium, and his disciples then founded the Tirynian Circle in the first century AUC.

Saaknathur, the "Millennial Sorcerer of the East", settled on the Grey Rock in the Sea of Lament after many centuries of political meddling in Kaikuhuru and Emphidor. He exacted much tribute by controlling the waters of the Sea of Lament, and was killed in the tenth century AUC for the reward on his head.
