| Lady Anna Colombari (one of the rival adventurers) | |
|
Lady Anna Colombari is an adventurer from Kevland. She and her fellow
adventurers are employed by Lord Guido Aversa, and are sometimes in competition
with Lady Brenna's adventurers. Anna and Sturt Tarrin almost caught up
to Brenna's adventurers and the body of Saint Ambrosius at the Clyster
docks in 1393 AUC, and Brenna's adventurers almost caught up to them and
the sword of Dhowim at the Penrhyn docks in 1394 AUC. Anna and Sturt attended
Marcus' public lecture on Qemor in 1395 AUC. Anna, Sturt, Professor Mendy
Bader and Bretwald beat Brenna's adventurers to the golden breastplate
of Madros late in 1396 AUC. They also beat Brenna's adventurers to the
gilded skull of Saint Isolde of Rhosdann late in 1397 AUC. |
|
| Lord Anton Garan (Lady Mara's uncle) | |
| Lord Anton Garan of Threehills was secretly a powerful
sorcerer when he was alive. He left his estate to Marcus as part of his
plan to swap bodies with him, but his plan failed and Anton died. As a ghost,
he arranged for his niece, Lady Mara, to be kidnapped and brought to Valour
Hall so he could sacrifice her to Lahmfada, a pagan god. However, Brenna's
adventurers foiled his plan and Lahmfada took Anton's ghost down to the
underworld in Mara's place. Using a sphere of transference, Anton possessed
Mara at Marcus' public lecture on Qemor, and used magic to take her back
to Valour Hall. When Brenna's adventurers arrived there, Anton was no longer
a ghost. Instead, he was a vampire. Anton used magic to escape from Valour
Hall when the battle started to turn against him: he hid in Thurander until
summer 1397 AUC, when he travelled to the abandoned villa of Hyspastis in
search of a means of returning to life. There, Brenna's adventurers killed
him and all his servants except Vidar Goldbrow, who escaped. of Deepwood early in 1397 AUC, took control of the local pack, and killed
the village priest. When Brenna's adventurers defeated him at the Vale
of the Silvery Moon, his body turned into smoke and returned to his manor
house, where Armon and his butler, Darby, escaped using magic. Their current
location is unknown. |
|
| The bat-winged Kattar woman who served Tikiri | |
| Late in 1397 AUC, Brenna's adventurers stopped Tikiri killing
Nur Rahayu by killing him themselves. Tikiri's Iron Rods were collected

| Bretwald (one of the rival adventurers) | |
|
Bretwald is an adventurer from Birland. He and his fellow adventurers

Colombari, Sturt Tarrin and Professor Mendy Bader beat Brenna's adventurers
to the golden breastplate of Madros late in 1396 AUC. They also beat Brenna's
adventurers to the gilded skull of Saint Isolde of Rhosdann late in 1397
AUC. |

from imprisonment inside the mythal, ending up in conflict with
Brenna's adventurers. Marcus helped Eiryn ransom back her sword, and made
arrangements for her to negotiate later for her other belongings and for
Amaltheia's whispering bow. Eiryn met with Brenna's adventurers at Navyn
in 1397 AUC and exchanged Thalion, a talking shortsword, with Marcus for
the whispering bow. Appeared: Into the Forsaken Temple's Crypt part two (session 34), Into the Forsaken Temple's Crypt part three (session 35), Stone Dead part one (session 53) |
|
| Elizar Branded-Hand (the sorcerer under the hill) | |
| Elizar disappeared when his tower near the village of Gross
Fell was burned down in 1301 AUC, and rumours claimed that he was buried
and sleeping beneath the hill. Early in 1395 AUC, Brenna's adventurers found
Elizar trapped in a room within an area where sorcery didn't work, behind
a locked door marked with the holy sign of the cross. They stopped Elizar
escaping and left him trapped, still buried beneath the hill. Appeared: Start at the End (sessions 20 & 21) |
|
| Fengil, Master of Shadows (the Black-Robed Man) | |
| Fengil was a prince two hundred years ago of what is now
Dirkholme. He travelled to the Lost City of Nem and became a servant of
Balor, the Dreaming God. Fengil and his ally, Steward Kilnred, concealed
the death of King Dirk for two years, until it was uncovered in 1396 AUC
and Fengil was driven from Nem by Althor, Baldon, Verma and Ector (who may
be the four hooded holy warriors). Later that year, Fengil, Krain the Slayer,
and his four dwarves and four human servants dug up Tasha the Royal Sacrifice
from the cemetary at Paderborn. Fengil ravelled with his servants to Adureth,
then travelled to the tomb of Harseth the Neverlost with Tasha and his human
servants. Brenna's adventurers suspected that the Black-Robed Man was Lord
Anton Garan, but the latter's diary established that this is not the case.
In 1398 AUC, Brenna's adventurers tracked Fengil to Skipton Castle, where
they provoked Fengil into a duel and killed him. Appeared: Castle on a Cloud (sessions 75 & 77) |
|
| Gaberk (Lord Anton's servant) | |
| Gaberk was Lord Anton's butler and loyal servant. The hunchbacked
dwarf was arrested for his part in the scheme to steal Marcus' body, but
was secretly saved from execution by Lord Anton's sorcery. He organised
Lady Mara's kidnapping, but was killed by Eadric at Valour Hall when Brenna's
adventurers rescued her. Using a sphere of transference, Gaberk possessed
Ulfgar for two days, spending his money, taking his magic ring, and setting
up the sphere of transference on the podium Marcus would use for his lecture
on Qemor. When Brenna's adventurers next encounted Gaberk, it was at Valour
Hall. He had become a vampire, and was destroyed by Marcus with his holy
sword. Appeared: The Legacy of Threehills (session 4), The One-Eyed God (session 13), The Sea Witch part two (session 31), Return to Valour Hall (session 32) |

men and one woman, taken to a castle built on holy ground, and questioned
about Ulfgar's involvement in Seneschal Kilnred's conspiracy to conceal
the death of King Dirk of Dirkholme. Lady Brenna's investigations suggest
they are Althor, Baldon, Verma and Ector, the four heroes who revealed
the schemes of Steward Kilnred and the Master of Shadows. |
|
| Melina (the nymph) | |
| Early in 1395 AUC, Brenna's adventurers were passing through
the village of Brindinford. The woman used illusions to conceal her identity
and enchantments to lure Jonyn into the woods. The other adventurers followed
them, and forced the woman to flee for her life after revealing her true
appearance. Eadric and Talos encountered the woman a second time while tracking
down Tasha's undead body near Brindinford. Eadric succumbed to her enchantments,

to locate and eliminate Cinder. He was the only one to escape from Brenna's
adventurers when they rescued Yara and drove him from Marcus' house in spring
1398 AUC. Brenna's adventurers killed him on their first day in Castle Sarwin,
he was restored to life overnight by Halfdan, and was then killed again
on the second day. Appeared: The Thunder Below part one (session 79), The Thunder Below part two (session 80), The Thunder Below part five (session 83) |
|
| Pan Mei (the succubus) | |
| Pan Mei is a succubus from Chiang Long, the northern third

sorcerer at the ruins of Ramshorn Abbey. The sorcerer had the head, arms
and upper torso of a man on top of a large snake's body. The snakeman fled
the ruins when his magics were exhausted, and Brenna's adventurers could
not track him across the waters of Lake Rhipe. Four years later, later in
1398 AUC, Brenna's adventurers interfered with Puhrjan's scheme to impersonate
the winged serpent Hermas at Trozen, killing him. Appeared: The Treasure of the Black Veils (session 19), Shrine of the Feathered Serpent (session 78) |

They stole Lady Brenna's borrowed jewellery in Orviet late in 1393 AUC,
and were hunted down and captured by her adventurers. In return for not
being handed over to the authorities for punishment, both promised to work
for Lady Brenna for all of 1394 AUC. They left Manderley Hall on the first

sword. Appeared: Stone Dead part one (session 53) |
|
| Samir and Malik El-Djinn (the former Sultan of Opalar and his personal sorcerer) | |

like-minded God-fearing people, including Brenna's adventurers, who helped
guard Princess Natara during the critical days of the coup. However, Samir
and Malik escaped. Appeared: Oasis part one (session 38) |

Sturt Tarrin is an adventurer from Kevland. He and his fellow adventurers
are employed by Lord Guido Aversa, and are sometimes in competition with
Lady Brenna's adventurers. Sturt and Lady Anna Colombari almost caught
up to Brenna's adventurers and the body of Saint Ambrosius at the Clyster
docks in 1393 AUC, and Brenna's adventurers almost caught up to them and
the sword of Dhowim at the Penrhyn docks in 1394 AUC. Anna and Sturt attended
Marcus' public lecture on Qemor in 1395 AUC. Anna, Sturt, Professor Mendy
Bader and Bretwald beat Brenna's adventurers to the golden breastplate
of Madros late in 1396 AUC. They also beat Brenna's adventurers to the
gilded skull of Saint Isolde of Rhosdann late in 1397 AUC. |

| Tasha (the royal sacrifice) | |
| Tasha is an ancient princess from northwest Vestad who was
sacrificed 500 years ago in a futile attempt to turn back the Selentine
legions. She was accidentally freed from her coffin by Garl Ferfeld in 1394
AUC, but was forced to return to it by the wolf priests assigned to guard
her and by Brenna's adventurers. Tasha was trapped in her coffin beneath
a large stone cross in the cemetary of Paderborn until 1396 AUC, when the
Black-Robed Man dug up her coffin and took it to Adureth. Tasha's last known
location was the tomb of Harseth the Neverlost, where she fled from the
Black-Robed Man. When Lord Karvala restored her to life from the vial of
blood in Marcus' backpack, her undead body became a soulless monster. In
1398 AUC, Eadric and Talos tracked it to Brindinford, where Melina was keeping
it secured in a sarcophagus, and Brenna's adventurers destroyed it. Appeared: A Kiss of Death (session 12), Tying Up Loose Ends (session 76) |
|

| Theopheles is a red-haired elf from the forests of northeastern
Emphidor. In 1397 AUC, Brenna's adventurers met Theopheles at the abandoned

ravens. Brenna's adventurers defeated Thraim and his warband, but the others
prevented Ulfgar killing him "for the war" and Thraim successfully
negotiated safe passage for himself and the survivors of his warband. In
1397 AUC, Thraim had control over Shivnar's beast until it was killed by
Brenna's adventurers at the Siege of Malgwyn. Appeared: The Raven's Ring part one (session 7), Living Weapon of Mass Destruction (sessions 56 & 57) |

using magic. Both were working with Halfdan to free Ubothar, The Thunder
Below, in spring 1398 AUC. They fought Brenna's adventurers one the first
and second days in Castle Sarwin, and had left the Castle before Brenna's
adventurers returned on the third day. Their current location is unknown. |
|
| Vidar Goldbrow (formerly Ulfgar Helmsbane, one of Brenna's adventurers) | |
| Vidar appears to be Ulfgar, but has no memory of Brenna's
adventurers or the time he spent with them. Vidar was in the employ of Lord
Anton Garan when Brenna's adventurers fought and killed Lord Anton and his
other servants at the abandoned villa of Hyspastis in late summer 1397 AUC.
According to Borin Stonehelm in late autumn 1398 AUC, Vidar had gone from
Hyspastis to Harogarn, and then on to Peronnia, where he had gone to ground.
This was perhaps a good thing, as the servants of the Witch King were looking
