Head of State: Dukes or Consuls.
Form of Government: monarchies or republics.
State of the Nation in 1393 AUC: Unlike Emphidor to the north, Peronnia remains a land of wealthy and feuding city-states. It stretches from Navyn (former joint capital of the Selentine Empire) in the southeast to Pleuron (one of the eight pontificates) in the northwest. Peronnian cities tend to align themselves politically and religiously with one of the two major powers in the region, Teran or Ranimia. How frequently a city changes allegiance depends on how politically unstable that city is and how close that city is to one of the regional powers: for instance, Navyn and other cities along the Meorl River have been allied with Teran and the Selentine True Faith for centuries. Pleuron is exceptional in that it is politically aligned with Ranimia but religiously aligned with the Selentine True Faith.
Races: mostly Humans, some Centaurs, Dwarves and Kattar.
Religion: Selentine and Berian True Faith.
Description and History: The glories of the Golden Age and the Selentine Empire can still be seen in the cities of Peronnia: like Ranimia, it is a land of olive groves and cities of marble. Peronnian merchants range across the seas carrying cargos of goods to sell or exchange, but struggle to compete in the south with Teranian merchants, who have the political power of Teran protecting their monopolies.
